We accept all major credit cards, Gift Cards and Electronic Gift Certificates for reservations. We do not accept checks.
For most guests, reservations and online gift certificate redemptions can be made through our website. Please call 973.663.5000 for the following situations:
Booking a cruise with us is much like making a restaurant reservation. Once your reservation is confirmed, you will receive an email confirmation with all pertinent information for your review. Our system does not generate tickets.
Please plan to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time. Boarding typically begins 15 minutes prior to departure. We kindly ask that you wait to check in with our captain, who holds the guest manifest, until your entire party has arrived at the boarding area. Please note that we are unable to delay departure for late arrivals. Once on board, a server will escort you to your pre-assigned table.
Lake Hopatcong Cruises has a clearly marked parking lot on Nolans Point Park Road. The lot is underneath a large solar power structure. Parking is free. For GPS, please use our address 37 Nolans Point Park Road, Lake Hopatcong (or Jefferson) New Jersey.
Yes! Lake Hopatcong Cruises has dedicated and marked slips on Nolan’s Point Boardwalk (in front of the Lake Hopatcong Golf Club). Please tie up your boat thoughtfully because this part of the lake does, at times, experience choppy/rough water.
Miss Lotta is prominently docked at Nolan’s Point Boardwalk, across the street from the parking area. A stairway to the right of the Lake Hopatcong Mini Colf Course kiosk leads to the boardwalk. Guests with mobility issues can access the Boardwalk through the Lake Hopatcong Mini Golf Course. Please ask at the Golf Club kiosk for assistance.
Each reservation has an assigned table in the main cabin for the duration of the cruise. Upon arrival, our staff will escort you to your seats. Most parties receive their own table, though smaller groups may occasionally be seated together. Please note that our staff will not reassign tables, nor allow guests to alter the floor plan or seating chart.
Guests are welcome to visit the upper deck at any time during the cruise. This area is an open seating plan with no assigned tables. The upper deck is not handicapped accessible. Children 12 and younger must wear a certified USCG PFD and be under the supervision of a responsible adult at all times.
Ticket price does not include gratuity. We ask that you bring cash or a major credit card to show your appreciation for the staff’s hospitality. Please Note: Gift Card/Electronic Gift Certificates cannot be used for gratuity.
We’re unable to split checks. One check will be presented per reservation for a single payment.
Because we do not have a kitchen on board, we do not offer a set menu for guests to order from. Instead, all food is prepared in advance, brought on board, and plated by our staff from chafing dishes. Guests will be called by table when it is time to be served. Food service is not self-serve; our staff will plate each guest’s meal based on their selection. While the service is not all-you-can-eat, if food remains after all guests have been served, the staff may offer second helpings upon request.
Guests are expected to wear shoes and everyday-appropriate clothing. Swimwear, including bathing suits and cover-ups, is not allowed. Those arriving without footwear or not fully dressed in everyday attire will be denied boarding without a refund. We encourage guests to dress comfortably, keeping in mind that certain clothing—such as high heels, large hats, or flowing garments—may pose safety or comfort issues on board. We recommend bringing a light jacket, as it can get breezy on the upper deck.
Unless a cruise specifies it is narrated - such as our Historical Tours with Marty Kane – cruises are not narrated. However, our Captains will often bring attention to locations of interest during the cruise. Wait staff may be able to answer questions of landmarks of interest to you.
No.
Most guests do not experience motion or seasickness while on board Miss Lotta. However, we cannot predict how each person will respond to being on the water or the conditions on any given day. If you are prone to motion sensitivity, we recommend bringing or taking your preferred motion-sickness remedy before boarding.
While most of our cruises are for an adult clientele, we do host a few family friendly cruises. Cruises suitable for children are clearly marked and include reduced-fare and/or free ticket options. When booking a reservation for family friendly cruises, you must include all children in the group including infants and children under 3. We must have a complete passenger manifest.
Some cruises have age restrictions, which are noted in the cruise description. For these events, child or infant tickets will not be available. Ages of attendees will be verified upon boarding with a valid government issued ID. We reserve the right to refuse boarding without refund if age restrictions are not followed.
When purchasing your ticket, you can list the special occasion you are celebrating. The captains will publicly announce your celebration during the cruise. Please note: decorations or special food/drink are not allowed to be brought on board - this includes, but is not limited to, balloons, table favors, flower arrangements, signs, desserts, favors and confetti.
Lake Hopatcong Cruises is handicapped accessible but not fully ADA compliant. We can accommodate wheelchairs up to 27” in width within the main cabin. Guests using walkers can also be accommodated; once seated, walkers are typically stored by our crew to ensure clear and safe passageways.
Please note that our onboard restrooms are limited in space and are not handicapped accessible, and there is no wheelchair access to the upper deck.
If you or someone in your party will be using a wheelchair, we kindly ask that you contact us in advance so we can best prepare and ensure a smooth boarding experience. Our crew is always happy to assist and will do their best to accommodate all guests requiring additional support.
